Buddhism

Oriental religions normally do not sanction violence against apostates. Like Hinduism, there is not formal religious pretext for apostasy let alone violence against apostates. However, for people who do apostasize from Eastern faiths, the worst penalty suffered tends to be family disapproval up to and including being ostracized by family and community.

While there may be attacks on individuals who apostasize from Buddhism, the occurance level appears to be extremely rare.
